Electric Parade 2017 – Production Management & Design

Electric Parade 2017
Sidney Myer Music Bowl
Melbourne, Australia
February 2017

The Parachute International Team were engaged to manage the Production Design of the main stage as well the Production Management of the three other stages on the site.

The Concept
“Following a huge Sold Out show in 2016, Electric Parade is back and in a new home!
Delivering the ultimate production along with a next level line-up, this is your chance to experience amazement and bliss. As the sun sets, you are left dancing to the pulsating sounds of the world’s greatest international DJs and Live Acts.”

The centerpiece of the site is The Mainstage, built in the late 1950’s the site is an impressive amphitheater based off designs of the Hollywood bowl. For this production, the performers featured mainly singular DJs as well as duos and trios, so designing a playing space with the focus on these individuals or groups was the main aim. We created triangular video screens on each side of the stage, as well as a screen behind the DJ. Integrating IMAG (Live Video) screens on either side of the stage, mixed in with visuals and a custom decorative border for each of these triangles, the stage set filled the Sidney Myer Bowl Stage. Topping off the production with Salamander Flames, CO2 Cannons, an expansive lighting rig, FOH Line Array/Delays and 15 Lasers, the stage was ready to wow for the whole day.

Build & Break
Parachute International also managed the Safety, provided the crew, and orchestrated the task of so many contractors sharing the same small stage space.

The results speak for themselves
